Soak a paper towel in your alcohol-based product of choice and wrap it around the sticker you want to remove. Stickers gone!
I did not have to wait and the glue came right off. Just be careful to not scratch the container. I have also had good luck with essential oils.

Who would have thought that baking soda and olive oil would be the solution for clearing up the glue residue. The remaining glue can be removed with an oil-based product such as baby oil, or mayonnaise.
This is a trick I learned many years ago that has always worked for me to remove the paper part of the label: Last I heard, non-bpa plastic containers are generally considered safe for reuse, although these recommendations frequently change. Let it sit for an hour, then scrub!
