If they just stay dim, your bulbs could just be getting old, Halogens as they get older, they start to dim down, your lenses could also be oxidized If they fluctuate noticeably, It could be a few things, could be a ground easiest thing to check or it could be your alt going bad.
Switch you're high beam lights to the normal beams for the time being assumeing they are working fine then take it to mitsubishi for new bulbs. I have a 95 z71 an i can't find anything to fix my headlights I put new lights in an they still don't work.
